The Tao of Process
"Just do your job, then let go." - Tao Te Ching, Chapter 24
The hustle and grind pornographers would have you believe success is all about motivation and mindset.
But the truth is, your motivated mindset will be brittle without the solid foundation of consistent process.
Mindset fuels process.
Process fuels mindset.
Mindset can fuel your visit to the gym on January 1st, but it's process that ensures you're still there on December 1st.
Sure, mindset can help you stick to your process on the days you feel like crap; on the days you feel like your process is boring; on the days your process isn't generating immediate results.
When you have a consistent process, you also build bigger data sets to determine what works and what doesn't, so you can adapt and thrive.
It's also your consistent process that contributes to a better mindset, because you realize that even if you don't get the "results" you want today, your process works over time.
So instead of obsessing over the results, you focus on your process.
And when you do that...
You can "just do your job, then let go."
