Be Present in the NOW
Listen to the audio version of this post:
While on my morning hikes here in Sedona, Arizona, I've run across some great people, many of whom are yearning for human conversation after a year of lockdowns and "social distancing."
But I also notice so many people who merely tolerate their hikes — head down, gruff face, "hustling" down the trail — as a means to get to the "money shot" photo opportunity for social media.
And even when they get to that "money shot" location, they spend the time staring into the photo screens to get the best selfie.
Dead focused on the shot that will impress their social media friends...
Instead of actually being present.
They're not present along the hike, not aware or appreciate of the beauty along the way.
You know what this reminds me of?
Many folks on social media who are so clearly focused on the "money shot" of potential future treasures, that they fail to be present in the NOW.
They fail to be mentally and physically present with themselves, their loved ones, and others around them.
There is another way.
There is an antidote to the "hustle and grind."
Being fully present allows to be more free, more fulfilled, and more grateful.
There is no guarantee that you or I will be here this afternoon, much less tomorrow, or next year.
Being present in the NOW and replacing "hustle and grind" with flow and fulfillment is one of the outcomes you'll achieve in our Freedom Business Blueprint Virtual Bootcamp, which begins this September. Want to learn more? Click here to schedule a call with me.
